The 14th Jo Kondo release on Kojima Recordings presents a new collection of works by Jo Kondo. Viewing the orchestra as a “paintbox,” Kondo shapes his distinctive sound world through the cutting and recombination of musical fragments and relationships. Featuring his latest composition Palimpsest among a richly varied program, this album vividly captures the present state of resonance and structure through the refined performances of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra and Kunitachi College of Music Clarinet Ensemble under Pierre-André Valade.
