Polished technique and crystalline tone — a poetic pianism infused with heartfelt feeling

Having honed her artistry at Toho Gakuen School of Music and the Mozarteum University Salzburg, Yumiko Furuhata is active both as a soloist and an ensemble pianist. At the same time, she is deeply engaged in the teaching of Russian pianism, contributing through lectures and publications.
From her refined technique emerges a sound that sings: delicately shaded, rich in perspective, and endowed with radiance and lyrical depth. This debut album is a heartfelt tribute to the piano and to the mentors who nurtured her music.
