A culmination of character pieces, performed with a sound imbued with serenity and warmth.
——A beautiful album by Chie Miyoshi has come into being. Lyric Pieces, while taking the Romantic salon tradition as its point of departure, occupies a distinctive place at the turning point of music history from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century, combining an intimate character with elements of innovation through its use of folk-inspired expression and harmonic experimentation. To the “dwelling place of happiness and repose” created by Grieg, the warm tones shaped by Mizen now cast a new and gentle light.〈Arisa Iida〉
