Pianist Yaeko Yamane, who honed her craft at the Paris Conservatoire and has sustained an unceasing performance career both in Japan and abroad. This disc is a reissue of her recording of Chopin's Four Ballades, originally recorded in 1983 and released on LP. With vivid contrasts between stillness and motion, and a structural vision that surveys the music as a whole, she brings out the poetic spirit of these masterworks.
